The season begins on 1 April and ends on 31 July.

The semen must be inseminated by a licensed vet or certified AI technician.

Live Foal Terms: Following the second payment, if the mare does not have a live foal after 48 hours, the breeder will be able to reserve a covering for the following season before 1 February on payment of €200. The second payment of €300, if already paid in the preceding season, will not be due.

The breeder must submit to the stud before 5 October a veterinary certificate stating that his mare was empty at 1 October, or has aborted, in order to claim the postponement for the following season. In the absence of a veterinary certificate the mare will be assumed pregnant. No covering certificates will be supplied without full payment of all fees deemed payable by the Stud or its representative (the Agent).

The stud reserves the right to substitute frozen semen if chilled is not available and a shipping charge of €150 (rather than €100) will be levied to cover the extra cost of the container. Please ensure your vet is capable of handling, thawing and inseminating frozen semen.

The semen may not be used for any other mare than the one named in the booking contract. Any change of mare must be agreed beforehand with Haras du Feuillard. If this is not done, the buyer may face legal action. If multiple births by embryo transfer are planned, or are obtained during the first insemination, the breeder must notify Haras du Feuillard and an additional contract will need to be signed. If frozen semen has been supplied instead of chilled and is unused at the end of the season, this must be returned to the stud.

The Customer is  presumed to have read all information and advice imparted verbally or in writing by the Agent. The Agent cannot accept liability for any incorrect information. The Customer is advised to verify the accuracy of all information themselves, and to discuss all issues with their vet as required.

Haras du Feuillard accepts no liability for the semen once it has left the stud.

Any disputes relating to the quality or other properties of the semen may be referred to the owner or breeder of  the Stallion. The Agent will try to facilitate this where possible.

All costs of insemination, veterinary care, gynaecological examination, keep, routine care of the mare are to be borne by the breeder. The seller accepts no liability for any damages that may occur to the mare as a result of the purchase of this semen and the breeding process.

Ordering is available Monday to Thursday before 9 am (British time), and the last delivery of the week is on Friday. No orders can be taken on weekends or holidays (please check French national holidays in planning your order).

Liability and risk for the semen and any container it is transported in is the responsibility of the Customer once it leaves the stallion owner.

The Agent is not liable under any circumstances for any loss or costs incurred where semen is unavailable or delayed, including, but not limited to, veterinary, livery or transport costs.

No semen will be despatched without the receipt of a completed order form and full payment.

Time of delivery is the responsibility of the stallion owner and the transport company. The Customer must liaise with the stallion owner to ensure the delivery meets their requirement. The transport couriers do not guarantee a timed delivery. As such, neither the Agent nor the stallion owner or their transport company provide any compensation for any losses or costs arising from the late delivery of the semen and in addition the full transport charge will still apply and is payable by the Customer.

Payment may be made by bank transfer or cheque to the Agent (see bank details on order form) or by bank transfer only to Haras du Feuillard (their bank account details may be downloaded here. Payment must clear before any semen will be despatched. Payment for transport (and other costs as indicated on the relevant order form) is additional and should be paid on demand to the stallion owner or the agent as requested. Payment for transport over and above the first batch will be due again if a second and third batch is required.

The Agent is not endorsing or recommending any third party and the Agent is not liable or responsible for any third party's actions.

All prices and terms are subject to change. The Customer must confirm these with the Agent immediately prior to ordering and payment.

The Agent provides no exchange or money back guarantee. Once payment has cleared the order is placed and cannot be refunded or exchanged.

Semen advertised by the Agent may be unavailable at times without notice.

The Agent reserves the right to refuse to accept an order and to cancel any order already placed (whether the semen has already been delivered under the order or not) at any time and at the sole and absolute discretion of the Agent.

In the event that the Agent cancels any order, the full amount paid by the Customer will be refunded, unless the Customer has already received a dose or more of semen, in which case the Customer will be refunded the full amount paid less a deduction for the value of the goods received.
