We're delighted to announce the arrival, on 5 April 2008, of Bella Bagira's eagerly awaited foal by Top Karetino. She has produced a big, strong, healthy colt with a confident, outgoing character.
As can be seen from the photo, taken at 2 months old, he's developing into a fine chap.

2008 batch of frozen semen now available ....
We're pleased to report the safe arrival in the UK of this year's batch of frozen semen for Hilken's Black Delight and Casino Royale K. Chilled semen will, of course, be available throughout the season to 31 August, subject to availability of the stallions.

Winter Regionals Win for
Francesca and Real Ruby ...
We are delighted to report that Francesca and Real Ruby won the Midlands Novice Open Winter Regional Championships at Addington EC on 22 February 2008 with a score of 70.71%, beating 30 other competitors and qualifying for the Winter Championships at Hartpury College on 16 April 2008.
The partnership warmed up for the Winter Regionals with a win in the Novice Qualifier at Addington on 7 February, with a fantastic score of 76.43%.

Dressage training now available ...
As Francesca has now completed a Child Protection Course and also passed her Equine Specific First Aid Course, she is now able formally to teach dressage and is willing to take pupils on a freelance basis either at Blackington Stud or at their own premises. She is fully insured.
Francesca is an experienced GB pony squad rider (winning the FEI class at both BYRDS Central Training in 2003 and the U21s UK, and being awarded the title of U21s UK Pony Rider of 2003), enabling her to coach any pony rider wishing to progress their experience and competition riding to this level. She is experienced in bringing on young horses and ponies and also in competing up to Prix St Georges. She has won BD Regional Championships on both her pony (Medium Restricted) and her young horse (Novice Open), amongst many other impressive wins as an under 21 against experienced professional riders. She is currently schooling horses from Novice to Grand Prix with regular help and tuition from international Grand Prix rider and Pony Team trainer Peter Storr, with whom she has trained for the past seven years. She hopes shortly to start training in the new Coaching Certificate qualifications.
Chilled Semen unavailable for 2009
Please note that we will not be offering chilled semen for the currently available stallions until further notice, as their owners now have their own facility in Germany, which is available only on a national basis, rather than internationally. Supplies of frozen semen remain unaffected.
