Mares and colts go to Germany

10 Apr 2013

Sira and Delta have gone to Germany to be put in foal to stallions unavailable here in the UK.  Neither mare is carrying a foal this year so this is a great opportunity.  The exciting news is that we have chosen our homebred stallion BKS White Light (Delta's licensed son) for Sira, who is standing to select mares only at our friend Timo and Julia Coldeweys' Gestuet Kastanienhof by kind permission of Caspar's owner, Tina Barker of Australia.  Delta B will be put to Caramel, the Bundeschampion and Licensing winner, who was owned and raised by our friend Sabine Meiners of Hilken's Studfarm.  Both mares are being cared for by Sabine.  Our two colts BKS Checkmate and BKS Coolio have gone to Timo and Julia's to be prepared for the stallion licensings at the appropriate time.  Both were admired by the Oldenburg inspection tour as future stallion prospects.
